BEER LICKER SIGHTINGS

BEWARE! There is a fish-breathed wild man on the loose this holiday season.

Dozens of people have filed reports claiming a mysterious man of unknown origins has been lurking in the shadow of holiday cheer.

Known as "Beer Licker" he strikes, like a phantom in the night, without warning and most often at festive holiday themed parties.  His crime, penetrating your unguarded beer with his unusually long, swirling tongue, then vanishing as quickly as he appeared.  Sightings began earlier this summer in the Pacific North West, and speculation is Beer Licker has migrated south for the winter with the latest sightings coming from New Mexico, Arizona,  and North Western Texas.

His attacks initially go unreported, however, within 48 hours of a Beer Licker sighting, the victim(s) fall violently ill with flu-like symptoms, often requiring urgent medical care.

An unnamed victim who made eye contact with Beer Licker,  described him as an un-kept white male of medium build, cloaked in an oil stained blue mechanics type jacket, and smelling thick of BO and gasoline.  "He's like a peeping-Tom, but worse!" she exclaimed, "My husband missed two weeks of work, and is still sick as a dog!" - a result of a Thanksgiving day visit from the Beer Licker.

Experts say Beer Licker is responsible for an increased rash of strep throat, pink eye,   and mononucleosis cases.  And if not stopped,  could easily lead to a medical crisis in 2012.  If caught, Beer Licker faces countless charges of criminal trespassing, and possible felony charges, for criminal transmission of a virus, pending a health evaluation.

Airline Passenger

I was on an airplane the other day,  trying to get some work done on my bigfoot story...and as usual the person sitting next to me,  (an obese american woman) kept watching what I was doing.  When I would look up she would shift her eyes towards the window,  as if that trick would really fool me.

So I decided to play with her,  and started drawing some pictures...and before I knew it,  she wasn't looking anymore. . . .  I should have thanked her for the inspiration.....

an old man sitting a few rows behind me, looked like this...

sometimes I see this cool joker at the convenience store ,  he's always chatting it up with the cashier,  i got his chin a little wrong though,

I Walked With A Zombie Last Night....

I've been working on this movie for the last three years now,  it started out as a short project but now I see it as a monster that I can't defeat, in a never ending wrestling match, that I don't want to give up on.   I don't think I'll ever be fully happy with it,  at best it was all done for learning.  Here's the latest preview I made for it.

Night of the Beast

Since I've been back from London,
I've been writing a short story about a Sasquatch, and his quest for kinship,
and now I'm trying to make it into a short movie,
these are some photos of James Hart,  the actor who is going to play the role.
Here's a video from it,

I think he's perfect for it, he looks like a giant sasquatch tearing through my yard.

Untill he stands next to me, then you realize he's not nearly as tall as the real beast.

While I'm waiting...

On fur suits to show up,

I decided to conduct a quick little skit with voices and faces,

"mmmm....wwwwwwww.....uhhhhhhh.......grrrrrr........."

"eeewwww look at his face,  it's all f'd up like a lawn mower ran him over!"

"Lets get out of here and call the police."

Just some of the script..
I should have it all done sometime next week, a video that is.

London Sasquatch Sightings.....

The past five months have been a lot of work for me,  I've spent the entire summer inside stringing together an art show, painting pictures and digging through countless unlabeled VHS tapes.  Other than that, nothing else really of any importance to me has been on my mind.    The people at the Horse Hospital were of great help in organizing and helping with the whole layout of the exhibition.  The building itself was the perfect setting as well, an old horse stable clinic with ramps instead of stairs it resembled an archaic dungeon rather than the typical bleached white art gallery,  and the cobbled floors were the best part of the 200+ year old structure.  I even heard there were some ghost horses lurking around, but I didn't see any!

So on Friday October, 15th it was opening night for "Ronny Long- My Life on Earth 1991-2002" curated by Matthew Killip, and it was a great success with way more people than I expected in attendance.

My Life on Earth is a collection (or museum rather) of all the creative events from my childhood,  with 84 pieces in all and a looping video on display.

October the 20th was another night of fun, a 3 hour life drawing session inspired by PT Barnhams traveling wildman show of the 1860's,  put on by the great Nervous Stephen Fowler, who on this night resembled a mad scientist clad in a white lab coat as he prodded with a stick, known Sasquatch doppelganger Nicholas Abrahams, into an array of different positions before the hungry crowd of sketch artists.  I later realized this event was held on the 44th anniversary of the famous Rodger Patterson film.

At times the wildman would disobey his handler,  growling angrily and throwing bananas into the crowd before smashing a bench to pieces and lurching into the audience.  I even lost a shoe in the process.    Here's a clip from the nights events.

The exhibition runs until November the 5th with nervous Stephen hosting a special Halloween night (October 31st) of wildman bigfoot movies along with the award winning "Master of Reality".

VHS

After watching so many tapes over the sumer I really like the look of VHS,  and it's something not everyone will understand,  returning to technology from the past  is looked at as "less", but I think it can add sentimental feelings and bring you to a different mindset  that has been erased with 1080 p.  There was such a rush to get away from VHS the past decade, but how much clarity is really needed?    I feel that HD is good for is watching sports, science shows  and exposing the the worn out faces of nightly news anchors.  It makes movies look fake,  they don't have the fantasy aspect to them anymore,  like in a dream for example, no one dreams in 1080p,  it's all foggy and there isn't really any color to it.   If your watching HD with terrible eye sight to begin with then the quality is probably less than VHS looks with good eyes.  Ramble ramble ramble

MY LIFE ON EARTH 1991-2002

I've been very busy this, hot Texas summer, living in the era of the late 90's via  the VHS videos I shot during that time,  looking at all those videos leaves me slightly heart broken, in the way Sunday afternoons do after a big Saturday night party.  Like time has passed me by.  I think one can be more productive when young and enthusiastic,  because there is a stronger quest for knowledge and you eagerly want to make a statement, whatever it is.  Then once your older and 'wiser' you look at things differently in a burned out sort of way.  I think this explains why simpletons are always in such good, happy moods.     I've been piecing together a short documentary out of all these VHS tapes, there must be around 150 or more,  and it's just so time consuming to watch them all and then string together a video out of it.
I've done all of this for my upcoming art show in London,

RONNY LONG- MY LIFE ON EARTH 1991-2002

  you can read about here,

This video I have made will be coupled with the 2007 documentary, "Master of Reality"  and released on DVD for around 5 pounds at the show,  I have also created my own webpage
,  which I am slowly updating,  at www.creaturesondisplay.com

My book is still in the works also, the title is, "BACK YARD" I don't know anything else other than that however.

Works of Wax...

I had a conversation about wax museums last month when I was thinking about visiting Madame Tussauds,
my friend suggested the works were too good, and in order to have the best possible wax figure experience, they needed to be more on the amateur level,  Well he was right,  I had a great time,  and here is what I found...

I was first greeted by the cross eyed, and cheap wigged cast of Startrek.  Possibly sculpted by the same convict who created the plaster heads used in the Alcatraz escape plot...
